Home-made papaya and white fungus soup

Crime scene: The eatshopblogger's kitchen
Food in question: Home-made papaya and white fungus soup

I have been sussing through recipes from Jack’s mum, and I came across this particular recipe which reminded me so much of my late grandmother. It reminds me of the piping hot dessert served from a simmering pot over a charcoal stove, right in the hearth of my grandmother’s kitchen. This dessert was just one of the many delectable culinary delights crafted with my grandmother’s love for her children and grandchildren.

Oh, how I miss her.

Home-baked vegetarian lasagna

Crime scene: The eatshopblogger's kitchen

Food in question: vegetarian lasagna

The impulse to cook sent me away to the supermart to pick up ingredients for a vegetarian lasagna. While many prefer theirs with a huge serving of mince, I decided to go meatless to get those carnivores at home to put some garden produce into their diet. Shall share this lovely recipe here(Serves 6 as a side, 4 as a main).

Aglio Olio @ Home

Crime scene: The eatshopblogger's kitchen

Food in question: Aglio Olio

“The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.”

Unfortunately, I’m still in the process of cooking for myself. :P

Feeling feisty one afternoon, I decided to ransack my noodles cupboard for some pasta, with an aching craving for Aglio Olio. And joy, I’ve got linguine, some fresh button mushrooms and carrots at home. So I threw in half a zucchini and those chili flakes you get from Pizza Hut and, voila, you’ve got homemade Aglio Olio. Of course, you’ve got to get the portions of olive oil, salt and coriander right.
