If you're craving that familiar scent and taste of firm roast meat that's crisp on the outside, slightly charred at the corners and juicy with every chomp, Canton Paradise may just be the place to stave off your craving for Hong Kong style roast meats.

Their assortment platter of char siew, siew yok and roast duck hits the right spots, unlike other places which offer roast meats chock full of grotesque fats.

Regardless of whether you're still hungry, please please please have their silky smooth congee. The thick consistency is a result of long hours of slow simmering and constant stirring, and goes well with sinfully crispy fried dough frits.

Service staff are attentive and, as a bonus dining experience, converse in fluent Cantonese. The serving size for mains (congee and noodles) may be daunting for those with small appetites, so communal dining is a good idea. Prices are reasonable for restaurant-style dining.
