Char-Grill Bar @ Clementi [2]

Crime scene: Char-Grill Bar
Location: Clementi Ave 3
Ambience: 1.5/5
Food: 3.2/5
Service: Mediocre/Satisfactory/Good/Excellent

Boyfriend and I went back to Char-Grill @ Clementi for dinner one January night, and we decided to try out the other main courses in their menu. :)

Boyfriend was smiling buckets over his Mexican Grilled Chicken, complete with coleslaw and fries (S$6.50). He seemed pleased with the daring use of mustard to top the chicken fillet, because the strongly-flavoured condiment did more to enhance the grilled element than to overpower the dish.

My Grilled Fish with Italian Herb (S$5.90) was pretty disappointed, though. The herb sauce tasted suspiciously like the MSG-laden sauce you get atop mashed potato, and the fishwas too dry at the edges. The tasty fries didn’t manage to salvage the dish, no matter how much I liked it.
