Manhattan Fish Market @ Marina Square

Crime scene: Manhattan Fish Market
Location: Marina Square
Ambience: 3/5
Food: 3.4/5
Service: Mediocre/Satisfactory/Good/Excellent

This is the Boyfriend's favourite dining spot to date, so naturally I would start on this first. We visited Manhattan Fish Market @ Marina Square (it was a newly opened branch set in a cosy corner near Breeks Cafe) 3 days ago for dinner, and many areas were either cordoned off, or already filled with diners. F1 hype?

Ever since the first time we ate at Manhattan Fish Market (@ Bishan Junction 8), the Boyfriend's given their Flaming Platter the thumbs-up for the fresh prawns, the wholesome rice and chips that comes with it, and the 'live' flaming of the cheese sauce on the prawns before serving it to you.

And he gave TWO thumbs-up for the Flaming Platter this time, and I could see the reason why. Unlike the version he'd tasted at Junction 8, the prawns weren't saved for the last, so the cheese sauce did not give off the overwhelmingly repulsive smell as compared to leaving it to cool before eating it. The grilled fish was dry as compared to the baked Dory I had (sorry it wasn't visually appealing so I didn't take a photo of it), but the rice went well with the cheesy sauce. Just remember to eat it hot.
